Sivells Bend Independent School District Annual NCLB Report Card Data – 2008 - 2009 February 1, 2010 Dear Parent: The Sivells Bend ISD is sharing this information about the district and your child’s school with you as part of its obligations under the Federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Section 1111(h)(2) of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires that each LEA that receives Title I, Part A funding must disseminate specific LEA (district) and campus level data. The following information is now available on the district’s website at: www.sivellsbendisd.net (Click on “Our District”, and then “NCLB Report Card”) and your will find all the district accountability information detailed below. ¥ Assessment results for Sivells Bend ISD in the aggregate and disaggregated by race, ethnicity, gender, disability status, migrant status, English proficiency, and economically disadvantaged showing two-year (2007-2008 and 2008-2009) trend data for each subject and grade tested. o by performance level, o showing two-year trend data for each subject and grade tested, o with a comparison between annual objectives and actual performance for each student group, o including the percentage of each group of students not tested. 2008-09 Academic Excellence Indicator System Accountability Rating: “Exemplary” (District & Campus) ¥ Performance of our school district and campus on adequate yearly progress measures. ¥ Number and names of Title I schools identified as in need of improvement, including information on any schools identified for improvement. (Sivells Bend ISD has no schools identified as “in need of improvement.”) ¥ Professional qualifications of teachers in Sivells Bend ISD, including the percentage of teachers teaching with emergency or provisional credentials and the percentage of classes in our district that are not taught by highly qualified teachers, including a comparison between high- and low-poverty schools.
