The bus mechanic has just completed the work, and we have made a successful test run. The bus is running as it should, and we are pleased to report that SBISD will resume our normal bus routes tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 30.
Thank you to our parents and families for your amazing cooperation and patience as we worked through the transportation challenges and adjusted our routes. Your flexibility and willingness to help us make alternative arrangements allowed us to keep things moving while our buses were being repaired.
We truly appreciate your support of our students and our school.

Dear Parents and Families,
Due to ongoing mechanical issues with our buses, we will have a limited number of available seats for transportation tomorrow, Monday, September 28.
We are asking parents who are able to transport their students to and from school on Monday, with the possibility that this may also be necessary on Tuesday. We will provide an update as soon as our buses are repaired and regular transportation service can resume.
With our current transportation options, we will be able to accommodate approximately 25 students.
Please contact school staff through the Rooms app or by phone at 940-665-6411 to confirm how your child will be transported to and from school.
We sincerely appreciate all of the parents and families who assisted us with transportation on Friday and those who are able to help again during this temporary situation. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of Sivells Bend ISD!

SBISD Transportation Update
A Sivells Bend ISD bus experienced a mechanical issue during Friday afternoon's route. We are very thankful that the issue occurred while the bus was stopped at a designated bus stop that was safely off the roadway, allowing our students to remain in a secure location while we worked through the situation.
Unfortunately, both of the District's two large-capacity route buses experienced mechanical issues during Friday afternoon's bus service. As a result, both route buses are currently out of service and in need of repairs. We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and determine the best transportation options for our students while the buses are being repaired.
Our student riders did an outstanding job throughout the situation. They remained calm, patient, and cooperative while we worked to reunite them with their families.
SBISD contacted parents, families, and designated contacts through the District's correspondence app, Rooms, as well as through students communicating directly with their families. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we worked through the unexpected delays.
Monday Transportation – September 28
Parents and guardians of students who ride an SBISD bus are asked to check Rooms for the District's announcement regarding transportation options for Monday, September 28.
At this time, we are planning for alternative transportation arrangements for Monday, September 28, and potentially Tuesday, September 29, depending on the status of the bus repairs.
To help us plan for Monday's transportation needs, please respond through Rooms or contact the school to let us know whether your student will need transportation on Monday, September 28.
If either route bus is repaired and we are able to safely resume regular bus service, the District will notify families and resume normal transportation as soon as possible.
Thank you to our students, parents, and families for your patience, understanding, and cooperation. Most importantly, we are grateful that our students remained safe and handled an unexpected situation so responsibly.
