SIVELLS BEND ISD SBISD will have a Valentine’s Day celebration Friday, February 13. We want to allow the students to celebrate the day. Classes will host a time when Valentine’s Day cards/goodies can be exchanged amongst their classmates. Some classes will make sacks/boxes for class Valentine’s cards to be collected. Sivells Bend ISD will not be accepting deliveries. We ask that the students do NOT exchange gifts, flowers, stuffed animals, etc... ONLY pre-filled traditional Valentine’s Day cards. Students may bring Valentine’s goodie bags (snacks) for ALL students in the grade-level. Deliveries and individualized gifts cause much distraction and disruption to the academic day. Plus, we don’t want to encourage excluding students or creating hurt feelings for others not receiving gifts, etc.... We thank you for understanding. Please contact the school if you have any questions or for clarification.

Sivells Bend ISD will remain closed on Friday, 1/30. The road surface has not yet and likely will NOT melt enough to safely make it out to the school. Have a good weekend and we will be ready and DRY come Monday. Thank you

Warriors,

We regret to inform you that Sivells Bend ISD will remain CLOSED on Thursday, January 29, 2026, due to ongoing hazardous road conditions.

Farm-to-Market Road 1201 remains heavily impacted by packed snow, sleet, and sheets of ice. These rural and county roads experience limited traffic, making it difficult to break up the accumulation, and temperatures have not been sufficient to melt the roadway surfaces.

We apologize for the continued disruption caused by this winter storm and appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, families, and staff.

Please stay warm and safe.

Sivells Bend ISD will be CLOSED on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, as hazardous weather-related road conditions continue across our area.

Unfortunately, rising temperatures provided very little thawing of road surfaces—particularly Farm-to-Market Roads 1201 and 1202, which are the primary routes to and from Sivells Bend School. Any limited thawing that occurs this afternoon is expected to refreeze after sunset, creating even more hazardous and icy conditions.

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. Please continue to monitor the Sivells Bend ISD Facebook page and district website for any additional updates or changes.

Stay safe and warm.

Sivells Bend ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as hazardous weather-related road conditions continue across our area.

Current forecasts indicate temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until Tuesday afternoon, meaning travel routes are likely to remain unsafe throughout the morning and early afternoon hours.

We appreciate your continued patience and support as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. Please continue to monitor the Sivells Bend ISD Facebook page and district website for any additional updates or changes.

Stay safe and warm.

2 months ago, Sivells Bend ISD

Out of an abundance of caution for our Sivells Bend Warrior families, students, and staff, Sivells Bend ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Road conditions and temperatures will determine whether school can resume on Tuesday, January 27. We will reassess conditions Monday afternoon and initiate our notification process at that time.

Please continue to monitor local and Metroplex news outlets, as well as the district’s Facebook page, for updates. Above all, please stay safe and warm.
